Summer Enrichment Program

Beyond Soccer is a sports-based, youth development organization. Soccer is the means by which we engage Lawrence youth, ages four (4) -18, and connect them to new experiences, on and off the field, that build confidence and create opportunities for leadership, healthy living and academic achievement. Lawrence Sports Leadership Academy

Beyond Soccer, in collaboration with Everyone’s A Player and the Lawrence High School Athletic Department offers a two-week camp at the high school campus for rising 8th-12th grade students. Participants benefit from five (5) different sports (tennis, soccer, basketball, volleyball and field hockey), plus speed and agility, nutrition education, leadership development, team-building components and a motivational speaker’s series. Urban Adventures

Groundwork Lawrence (GWL) has been making change happen since its beginnings in 1999. Through its environmental and open space improvements, healthy food access programs, youth education, employment initiatives, community programming and events, GWL creates the building blocks of a healthy community, and empowers residents to improve their quality of life. Movement City

Movement City's summer program consists of four different camps. Youth can choose which camp to participate in for the summer: performance, maker, sports, or environmental camp. The camps run from 8:30am to 3:30pm, and include lunch and breakfast. Camps run July 5 - August 5, Monday through Thursday.There are also several field trips planned throughout the summer. Teen Corner

Our Library offers a wide range of resources and programs for all ages. For youth, we have a dedicated "Teen Corner" staffed by a Teen Coordinator ready to engage with youth with after school programming, and a summer camp.

Strong Teens

This 4 week program will teach you the fundamentals of exercise and the importance of quality nutrition while having fun. Perfect for teens looking to get fit in a non intimidating and inclusive atmosphere.

Strong Teens is a program for students who are not athletes. Our mission is to create a comfortable environment for those students who feel like they are intimidated to tryout for sport or participate in exercise. Our vision is to have the students ages 12-15 feel more comfortable so that by the end of the summer they feel ready to tryout for a sport and continue to exercise in the coming school year.

When: June 24-July 17 or July 22-August 14
Days: Monday and Wednesday
Time: 10-11AM
Cost: $120/member or $150/community member

Happy Healthy Teen Program

This class will bring you to the next level in the gym, opening doors to exercise without parental supervision. At teen spin and yoga combo you will be able to build healthy habits early to become an excellent role model for others. Member or non-member, bring a friend, see new faces, and have a great workout!

The vision of this class is to expose teenagers to the basic movements of yoga and to gain confidence with a spin bike. Introducing high endurance conditioning to increase heart rate and then yoga to increase mobility and flexibility of the body. This class includes 30 minutes spin and 45 minutes yoga.

When: June 18-August 15
Days: Tuesday and Thursday
Time: 11AM-12:15PM
Cost: Members - free, Community - $5 per class

SquashBusters Summer Program

SquashBusters is a sports-based youth enrichment program located in Boston and Lawrence, Massachusetts. They use the sport of squash, along with academic support and enrichment, community service, and summer opportunities, to improve the lives of youth and expose them to opportunities.
