MIT Online Science, Technology, and Engineering Community (MOSTEC)
MOSTEC serves underrepresented and underserved high school juniors who are interested in the STEM field. MOSTEC is a six-month online program where students take two summer classes, engage in an online community, present projects at MIT, and learn from STEM professionals in the field. Students engage with the MIT Admissions counselors who can help answer questions about the college admissions process. Students also receive an undergraduate college mentor throughout the program who provides advice and support during, and even after, the six months. We build intentional community to help increase confidence among the students and help them know they are not alone as they pursue a career in STEM.
